Trash fire at Waste Management
An employee discovered a Waste Management truck smoking around 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, and traced the source to cargo smoldering inside the compactor.

An employee discovered a Waste Management truck smoking around 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, and traced the source to cargo smoldering inside the compactor.
The truck’s load was subsequently dumped onto the lot surface a safe distance from buildings at the River Falls’ Summit Street facility. River Falls firefighters responded and extinguished the stinky mess.
