The Kinnickinnic Historical Association is collecting recipes from Kinnickinnic area former and present residents to have a multi-generation cookbook and pages of historical information about the historic Kinnickinnic Church.
KHA is looking for a minimum of 200 recipes to include in the church’s cookbook. The church is located at the intersection of County J and County Road JJ.
What the committee will do is type the recipes submitted along with recipes submitted from the 1940s and 1950s Kinnickinnic Homemakers Cookbook.
Your recipes can be either submitted to the committee member listed below, or submitted online at
The organization’s name is Kinnickinnic Historical Association. User name: KinnicKinnic and contributor password: dishes754.
The cookbook’s whole scope is not only for the generations who were part of the original Kinnickinnic Homemakers Club, but also friends of the Kinnickinnic valley who would contribute their recipes to this historical reference.
KHA thought this would be a great way to preserve the history of founding families and residents of Kinnickinnic.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for further information please feel free to contact at 715-425-9532 or email Callaehound.
This is a busy time of the year, but we need to put some deadlines on the entries of recipes.
The suggested time frame from the cookbook printer is three weeks. Let’s make the deadline for responding Sept. 8. We would anticipate the cookbook to be published in late October.
You may also reserve your copy at the time you send your entry. Please write on your recipe and complete name and address and phone/email in case we have questions.
Advanced orders are $11. After the orders are sent to the publisher, the cost will be $12.
All checks should be made to the Kinnickinnic Historical Association.
