A 13-year-old girl is accused of killing a bicyclist while drag racing with other teens in a pair of stolen vehicles.
It happened earlier this month in Milwaukee. Prosecutors said 57-year-old Ronald Forbes died and the girl faces a reckless homicide charge and three other felony counts.
The girl told police she did not see the bicyclist as she was racing. The girl is currently charged as an adult, but it’s expected that a judge will be asked to move her case to Children’s Court.
She’s due to appear in a juvenile court Sept. 7, after a psychological exam. Her attorney wondered whether she is mentally competent to help with her defense.
