Kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade enjoyed Lego afternoon at the River Falls Public Library 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13. The program invites up to 20 children for an hour of play with buildable Lego toys and usually recommends a theme, for example this week’s was “bridges.”
Children’s Services coordinator Monica LaVold said all the Lego creations go on exhibit for several weeks in one of the library’s glass display cases. Each Lego item was labeled as to what it is and who made it.
Pieces included a snowmobile, River Falls City Hall, a house, an eat-in restaurant, an airport and many others. LaVold said more Lego sessions will be scheduled after school starts -- anyone interested can check the library’s website for times and sign-up opportunities.
