Letter: Area lawyer respects Pierce district attorney

I have practiced civil and criminal law in Hudson for 32 years.
I have had the experience of trying jury trials, participating in motion and evidentiary hearings and arguing cases with John O’Boyle since he has been Pierce County district attorney.
I knew him when he was in private practice. Mr. O’Boyle has always represented the citizens of Pierce County and Wisconsin in an honest and aggressive fashion.
He is compassionate and invested in dealing with victims and witnesses. He has been innovative in the use of up-to-date technology in and out of the courtroom.
I have also been involved with him in the area of restorative justice. I have knowledge of his hard work in working with the sexual assault response team and with the Pierce County Drug Court.
He has a very dedicated and courteous staff and experienced assistant district attorneys.
Mr. O’Boyle has served the county honorably and he should remain as your district attorney.
