Board of Education Special Meeting Minutes

May 21, 2012

The special meeting of the River Falls Board of Education was called to order on Monday, May 21, 2012, at 6:03 p.m. by President Johnson Myers in the Conference Room at the District Administrative Office, 852 East Division Street. It was ascertained that notice of the meeting had been properly posted in the appropriate locations, and faxed to WEVR.

PRESENT

President Johnson Myers, Treasurer Manny Kenney, Clerk Barbara Kolpin and members Rich Gerczak, Mike Miller and Alan Tuchtenhagen were present. Also present were Superintendent Tom Westerhaus, High School Principal Dr. Elaine Baumann, High School Assistant Principal Kit Luedtke, Director of Student Services Jackie Steinhoff, Police Liaison Officer Chris Gottfredsen, Attorney Gwen Kuchevar, student and parent(s).

Request for an executive session pursuant to Wisconsin state statute section 19.85(1) (a and f) for the purpose of conducting a pupil expulsion hearing as advertised. Motion made by Kolpin and seconded by Kenney to adjourn into executive session. Roll call vote required. Johnson Myers-yes, Behnke-yes, Kenney-yes, Kolpin-yes, Gerczak-yes, Miller-yes, Tuchtenhagen-yes. Motion carried (6-0). The hearing convened to closed session at 6:04 p.m.
