Rain passes, parade marches on
Mel’s Midtowner earned the Judge’s Choice award for its float in the River Falls Days parade that featured Scooby Doo, a themed van called Mel’s Mystery Machine, and thick fog.

Mel’s Midtowner earned the Judge’s Choice award for its float in the River Falls Days parade that featured Scooby Doo, a themed van called Mel’s Mystery Machine, and thick fog.
Though showers delayed the River Falls Days parade’s start time for about half an hour on Friday, the annual event started and finished under cloudy, drizzly sky as undeterred spectators lined the north end of Main Street and all of Second Street to watch the long line of parade floats and gather the treats normally thrown out for kids.
