Fighting Fish flex muscle during weekend games

The Fish were victorious in the Saturday, July 7, game against St. Croix Falls. They had 10 hits with four of them in the second inning.
Matt Walker pitched for seven innings with four strikeouts and Nate Schurman closed out the last two innings of the game. The Fish won 6-2 against St. Croix Falls.
“We had come out a little flat on Saturday,” Josh Eidem, team manager, said. “Which is bound to happen at times during a long season.”
At the Sunday, July 8, game, the Fish came out swinging against Elmwood. Following a two-run homer, the Fish had a game full of double and triple hits.
“Marty Herum hit a towering two-run homer to left field in the first inning on Sunday that really ignited us,” Eidem said.
JP Feyereisen pitched for six innings with 10 strikeouts and Dan Morgan took over to finish out the game.
The Fish won Sunday’s game 12-1 over Elmwood.
The Fish played the Red Wing Aces Tuesday, July 10 and their next game is Saturday, July 14 against the Prescott Pirates at 1 p.m.
