Legion winless in last four tries

The River Falls American Legion Post 121 baseball team had a rough week, losing four games, including three at the Duluth tournament over the weekend of June 30.

The River Falls American Legion Post 121 baseball team had a rough week, losing four games, including three at the Duluth tournament over the weekend of June 30.

River Falls came out on the short end of a combined, five-inning perfect game in a 12-0 loss last Tuesday, June 26, at Menomonie. Friday, June 29, they dropped an 11-1 decision to a very good Lakeville North team and blew a three-run seventh inning lead in an 8-7 loss to Cambridge before losing 8-7 again Saturday, June 30, to Cloquet.

Alex Call recorded three hits in the loss to Cambridge while Jon Kruger had a pair of doubles against Cloquet.

Post 121 is off this week and returns to action Monday, July 9, at home against Menomonie at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, they visit Eau Claire before returning home Wednesday, July 11, to face South St. Paul and Thursday, July 12, to host Hudson.
