Sean Forester-Hoare, 30, of Racine, will spend at least 40 years in prison for killing a college student over the victim’s driving habits. He was sentenced to life in prison this week.
A Racine County circuit judge allowed the defendant to be eligible for a supervised release as early as age 70. Forester-Hoare was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 21-year-old Jonathan Kwiatkowski in April of last year.
The two lived three houses away from each other. Forester-Hoare was arrested while walking home soon after he killed Kwiatkowski during a fight in the early-morning hours.
The victim had been returning from his girlfriend’s house, and Forester-Hoare was apparently upset about how Kwiatkowski had been driving. Forester-Hoare claimed he acted in self-defense; the judge allowed a chance at parole despite saying that Forester-Hoare was reluctant to take responsibility for his actions.
