Walk to remember loved ones

The 3rd Annual Walk for Awareness will be held at Heritage Park at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.

The 3rd Annual Walk for Awareness will be held at Heritage Park at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.

The Walk for Awareness event supports survivors and raises awareness of crucial issues such as: impaired driving, underage consumption, suicide and teen driving.

St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice Program invites families to remember loved ones during the Walk for Awareness. To remember a loved one, please provide a photo and phrase for the memory board.

The event begin with a meal, by Bo’s N’ Mine, raffle tickets for door prizes and networking of SCVRJP volunteers, supporters and community members.

Following the meal, event participants will carry luminaries on the White Pathway, and reflect on the posters displaying loved ones impacted by the issues SCVRJP addresses.

The event is $25 for adults and $5 for youth 12 and under. Those attending are encouraged to collect pledges and walk in memory of a loved one.
