The roundabout at Second and Cascade Avenue has been paved as part of the continuing construction happening along East Cascade. Work has been going smoothly, with some bumps in the road from weather and the rain getting inside the steam tunnel.
Public Works Director/City Engineer Reid Wronski, says, “If only the monsoons stop happening.”
The date the project is expected to be completed is some time at the end of September to October. However, if there are snags in the construction process, the contractors have until November 1 to finish.
The landscaping and finishing touches will be completed at a later date if the work stretches out to November.
