Eric Thompson closed TGS-COM last month, as authorities investigate complaints from customers who accused the firm of billing them without delivering their orders. Officials said the complaints have come from almost every state.
Thompson tells the “Green Bay Press-Gazette” he’s doing his best to resolve his problems – and to find investors who can help him re-open. Despite police investigations, Thompson said he does not expect to be charged criminally.
TGS-COM sold Seung-Hui Cho the .22 caliber gun he used to kill 32 people at Virginia Tech in April of 2007. The following year, Steven Kazmierck bought a holster and two empty magazines from a TGS Web site before he shot five people to death at Northern Illinois University. And George Sodini, who killed three women at a Pittsburgh health club in 2009, bought an empty magazine and a magazine-loading apparatus from the company.
