Athletes, and Parents, need to make sure that the following requirements are fulfilled before they are allowed to play.
Freshmen and juniors need to have an Impact Concussion test done at the school. Many juniors have already had this done. Tests will be given on the following dates: July 12, 19, 26 and August 2. Call the Activities Office (715-425-1830 ext. 1109) after July 9 to set up an appointment.
All athletes and at least one of their parents must attend a rules meeting. These meetings will be held on July 11 and July 31 at 6:30 p.m. There are new state laws on concussion education that must be discussed as well as other information. This is a new requirement that all participants must attend. There will be other meetings later in the year for those who do not play a fall sport, though you can take care of this requirement this summer for the complete year. This meeting will last between one and two hours. If you cannot attend either meeting, you should email rollie.hall@rfsd.k12.wi.us as soon as possible.
A reminder that students need an athletic physical every two years. This is usually done in the freshmen and junior year, though it depends on when you started playing athletics.
