With the upcoming elections, River Falls city officials remind everyone of the following rules and regulations for the placement of political signs within the city:
• All political campaign signs shall be erected on private property (generally at least a distance of 15 feet from the edge of pavement).
• No political campaign sign shall be attached to any boulevard tree, utility pole or traffic control device.
• All political signs in residential zoning districts shall not be lighted.
• All political campaign signs shall be removed within 72 hours following the election in which the campaign was intended.
Signs in violation will be removed by the city.
