CITY OF RIVER FALLS, WI

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

2012 MILL & OVERLAY PROGRAM

The City of River Falls will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Kinni Room of City Hall, located at 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, Wisconsin for 2012 MILL & OVERLAY PROGRAM. The work includes the following approximate quantities of work:

Mill Asphalt Pavement ....................... 10,000 S.Y.

Asphalt Pavement ............................. 1,700 Ton

This project is part of the Local Road Improvement Program.

Said work shall be in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by the City Engineer. Any questions concerning this project shall be directed to the City Engineer at 715-426-3409. Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Engineering/Public Works Office, 222 Lewis Street, Suite 225, River Falls, WI 54022 (715) 426-3409 or e-mail rwronski@rfcity.org.

No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of River Falls, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the total amount of the Contract within ten (10) days after the award of said Contract.

All bids shall be in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “2012 MILL & OVERLAY PROGRAM." The City of River Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City.

Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with minimum wages and labor standards as determined by the State of Wisconsin, Department of Workforce Development Wage Rate Determination.
