Letter: Are governor’s beliefs in touch with yours?

Scott Walker believes it is OK to give the rich and corporations tax breaks on the back of our public education. Even though these breaks were supposed to create jobs, he believes that creating jobs should not be a requirement to receive the breaks.

He believes that it is OK to take the money they earn from Wisconsinites and go elsewhere with it. Elsewhere is where he gets his financial backing as 16 out of his top 20 backers are from elsewhere.

Scott believes that we should give more of our public education funding to charter and private schools even though they do not perform as well as public schools. There is no monitoring of private and charter schools or how they spend the money. The No. 1 draw for business to Wisconsin has been our quality public education and our quality work force.

Scott believes that it is OK to take women’s rights back to the 1960s. He believes it is OK to not pay people the same wage for the same job. He believes that it is OK to make women jump through hoops prior to having certain medical procedures.

Scott believes it is OK that he receive a pay increase while many Wisconsinites have lost their jobs, had their pay frozen, or received pay cuts.

So if you believe as Scott believes, then you must vote for Scott Walker.

I believe this is what Scott Walker believes, that he really doesn’t care about the people. He cares about the rich, big business and those that support him. I believe that he is set on destroying the middle class.

If there is no middle, who will buy houses, who will buy cars, who will have the purchasing power to keep Wisconsin’s economy going?
