Driver charged in fiery rollover crash
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department responded to an emergency call 11:40 p.m. May 22, about a one-vehicle rollover accident on Hwy. 35 north of County Rd. VV in Hager City.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department responded to an emergency call 11:40 p.m. May 22, about a one-vehicle rollover accident on Hwy. 35 north of County Rd. VV in Hager City. The car was said to be in flames with the driver trapped inside.
As responders arrived, they found the man had been helped out of his vehicle, which was fully engulfed.
Information from the Sheriff’s Department said the driver had been southbound on the highway when it left the road and rolled over several times. Authorities arrested the driver for operating while intoxicated, and he was transported by Red Wing EMS to the River Falls Area Hospital.
