At least one person was transported to River Falls Area Hospital mid-morning Thursday, May 10, following a two-vehicle crash on the ShopKo side of the Hwy. 65 overpass in River Falls.
A police officer at the scene initially described the female driver's injuries as "friction burns" suffered when an airbag in the Honda CRV deployed. She was later identified as 32-year-old Sheena Rose Marie Singer from New Richmond.
The other vehicle involved was a commercial panel van with markings of "Expert Insulation" on the sides. It received driver's side door damage.
The accident occurred about 9:20 a.m.
Police later reported that the driver of the van, 28-year-old Jonathan M. Dalager, Rochester, Minn., was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
