UPDATE: Authorities seek help in suspicious-death case

The afternoon of Thursday, April 19, the body of 38-year-old Sharon Christina Love was found in her Alexandria home and local law enforcement is asking for the public's help in locating a man who was last seen leaving Love's home. Authorities reported late Friday, April 20, that the man they were looking for was found dead in Osakis.

The afternoon of Thursday, April 19, the body of 38-year-old Sharon Christina Love was found in her Alexandria home and local law enforcement is asking for the public's help in locating a man who was last seen leaving Love's home.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Love's landlord discovered Love's body at 1005 Eckert St., and it appeared she had died of unnatural or suspicious causes.

Authorities are looking for her acquaintance, 51-year-old David Dewain Everett of rural Osakis. Everett was last seen leaving Love's residence around 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in her vehicle – a silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Am with Minnesota license plate RZA 361.

If anyone has seen Everett or the vehicle, authorities ask that they do not approach or make contact with him. Call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at (320) 762-8151 or local law enforcement with any information.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are currently at the scene investigating.

UPDATE

Authorities reported late Friday, April 20, that the man they were looking for was found dead in Osakis.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, David Dewain Everett, 51, was found dead in a car located inside a storage unit on the west side of Osakis.

Authorities said they received a tip from the public that led them to the storage unit just before noon today. Everett's cause of death remains under investigation.
