The key word that distinguishes spirited children from other children is “more” – more intense, more persistent, more sensitive, and more uncomfortable with change. The spirited child can easily overwhelm parents, leaving them feeling frustrated and ineffective.
Participants will learn how temperament affects their child’s behavior and how we react to that behavior. By understanding your child’s temperamental traits you can identify cues leading up to challenging behavior and develop strategies for reducing power struggles, tantrums and other blow-ups.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn to work with your child to ease the hassles, teach new behaviors and help your child understand and like him/herself.
Cost is $10 for individuals or couples to cover the cost of the workshop materials. The registration deadline is Tuesday, May 1. For more information or to register, call Lori Zierl, Pierce County Family Living Educator, at 715-273-6781.
