Notice is hereby given that the

River Falls Housing Authority will receive proposals for the

OAKPARK APARTMENTS LIGHTING RETROFIT project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In general the project consists of the one for one replacement of the existing corridor wall fixtures, as well as other common area lighting fixtures.

Plans and detailed specifications will be available by email upon request from the Designer. Bidding documents will be available on or after April 16, 2012 in the form of PDF’s from the Designer, address listed above. Documents can also be viewed at the Housing Authority office at the above address.

Proposals are invited for the complete retrofit of the lighting system under ONE PRIME CONTRACT. The proposals shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the specification. A 5% bid security will be required to be submitted with the bid, in the form of a bid bond or a certified check.

Payment and performance bonds will be required for this project; also, lien waivers will be required to be submitted with each pay request.

Bids shall be received by OWNER until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 when they will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Housing Authority Office, River Falls Housing Authority, 625 N. Main St., River Falls, WI 54022. Proposals sent by mail shall be addressed to: Attn: Anne McAlpine, Executive Director, at the above address. (Faxed and/or e-mailed bids are acceptable if received on or before the date and time indicated above and are accompanied by proof of a bid security). All faxed and emailed bids must be followed up with an original hard copy and received by the Designer within 2 business days from the original bid date.

Pre-Bid Tour: A mandatory pre-bid inspection is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the project site and all interested bidders must attend.

Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein and award the bid in best interest of the District.
