Heavy work begins on Cascade
This scene along Cascade late last week indicated the beginnings of the Cascade Avenue reconstruction project – closing the road, erecting security fencing and removing signs from the work area. This week the sights include pulverized pavement and the closure of Spruce Street for installation of a water main.

The Cascade Avenue project web site and Facebook pages give weekly, sometimes daily, updates. The site said that instead of Spruce being closed for two days, Wednesday, April 11 and Thursday, April 12, -- the closure should only be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
