Public meeting tonight on big school budget cuts
School district officials have prepared a $900,000 list of reductions to erase a projected budget deficit for 2012-13. Those interested in this issue should consider attending a public hearing at 6 p.m. tonight, April 10, at the Meyer Middle School library.By: Phil Pfuehler, River Falls Journal
School district officials have prepared a $900,000 list of reductions to erase a projected budget deficit for 2012-13. Those interested in this issue should consider attending a public hearing at 6 p.m. tonight, April 10, at the Meyer Middle School library.
The school board, after gauging public feedback, is expected to act on the budget reduction package at its regular meeting Monday evening, April 16.
Tonight there will be a 20-30 minute presentation on the reduction package followed by a time for people to make comments and ask questions.
