State standardized test results show River Falls still one of this area’s best school districts

A recent release of the annual Wisconsin Knowledge and Concept Exam (WKCE) scores that, overall, River Falls students generally perform higher than their peers in this part of the state. The tests were given last November.
On average, River Falls students scored higher than their counterparts in the Big Rivers Athletic Conference. Hudson was right behind.
The following results show those students who attained the highest ranking of ADVANCED in these core subjects:
--READING: River Falls, 58.8%; Hudson, 55.7%; Eau Claire area, 48.9%; Rice Lake, 47%; Chippewa Falls, 46.5%; and Menomonie, 45.2%.
--LANGUAGE: Hudson, 34.2% River Falls, 30.7%; Eau Claire area, 27%; Chippewa Falls, 26.1%; Menomonie, 23.7%; and Rice Lake, 22.4%.
--MATH: Hudson, 48.9%; River Falls, 48.5%; Rice Lake, 40.2%; Eau Claire area, 36%; Menomonie, 32.1%; and Chippewa Falls, 29.9%.
--SCIENCE: River Falls, 45.1%; Hudson, 42.9%; Chippewa Falls, 37.9%; Rice Lake, 36.6%; Eau Claire area, 36.5%; and Menomonie, 35.8%.
--SOCIAL STUDIES: River Falls, 68.9%; Hudson, 66.8%; Chippewa Falls, 57.5%; Eau Claire area, 55.3%; Rice Lake, 52.9%; and Menomonie, 51.3%.
