A man accused of throwing projectiles at moving vehicles in Minnesota, and scuffling with police in western Wisconsin, was back in court again yesterday.

Gerret Parks, 39, of Bloomington, Minn., made his third court appearance in a week. And unlike the first two, the odds are slimmer that he’ll have a chance to go free on bond.

A judge set an $800,000 bond for Parks. He was arrested Friday, March 2, for throwing projectiles at vehicles traveling on a busy street in Bloomington. On Sunday, March 4, he was freed on a $50,000 bond.

Authorities said he drove drunk in Saint Croix Falls and scuffled with police officers. On Monday, March 5, he was freed on a $25,000 bond on a Polk County felony charge of evading officers.

On Tuesday, March 6, Minnesota authorities started searching for Parks after charging him with tossing at least five projectiles into vehicles from late December through late February; in the process, he injured a National Guard sergeant.

Officers arrested Parks Thursday, March 8, at his sister’s house in New Prague, Minn.

Online court records still indicate that Parks is due back in a Wisconsin court on Tuesday, March 13; but, if normal procedures are followed for multi-state cases, his Polk County charge won’t be handled until his Minnesota case is finished – or vice versa.
