In last week’s article about my role as student representative on the school board, I was asked to speak about high school experiences I would like to change. I was quoted expressing my frustration when my papers were returned without comments.
Although this has happened, I wish to make sure that readers do not interpret this to mean that all teachers have done this. It would be unfortunate if a single comment inadvertently painted all teachers with the same brushstroke.
I have also had English and other teachers that gave detailed and specific feedback on my papers, the kind of feedback that has helped me grow tremendously as a writer.
Readers should also know about their hard work and professional dedication.
