Board of Education Special Meeting Minutes

Monday, February 6, 2012

The special meeting of the River Falls Board of Education was called to order on Monday, February 6, 2012, at 6:32 p.m. by President Johnson Myers in the Conference Room at the District Administrative Office, 852 East Division Street. It was ascertained that notice of the meeting had been properly posted in the appropriate locations, and faxed to WEVR.

PRESENT

President Johnson Myers, Vice-President Dennis Behnke, Treasurer Manny Kenney, Clerk Barbara Kolpin and members Rich Gerczak, Mike Miller and Alan Tuchtenhagen were present. Also present were Superintendent Tom Westerhaus, High School Principal Dr. Elaine Baumann, High School Assistant Principal Kit Luedtke, Police Liaison Officer Chris Gottfredsen, Attorney Gwen Kuchevar, and parents.

Request for an executive session pursuant to Wisconsin state statute section 19.85(1) (a and f) for the purpose of conducting a pupil expulsion hearing as advertised. Motion made by Behnke and seconded by Tuchtenhagen to adjourn into executive session. Roll call vote required. Johnson Myers-yes, Behnke-yes, Kenney-yes, Kolpin-yes, Gerczak-yes, Miller-yes, Tuchtenhagen-yes. Motion carried (7-0). The hearing convened to closed session at 6:35 p.m.

RECONVENED INTO OPEN SESSION

Reconvened into open session at 8:16 p.m.

AFFIRMED ACTION

Motion made by Behnke, seconded by Kolpin, to affirm action taken in executive session. Motion passed (7-0).

ADJOURNMENT OF OPEN SESSION

President Johnson Myers adjourned the meeting at 8:16 p.m.
