Prosecutors say a Wisconsin park ranger threatened a motorcycle rider with his service weapon. Bernard Mark Garvey of Argyle faces one misdemeanor charge of ‘intentionally point firearm at person.’

A criminal complaint was filed in the case yesterday. It says Michael Parrot entered Yellowstone Lake State Park without a sticker for his motorcycle then reportedly got into a scuffle with ranger Garvey over the keys to his motorcycle.

Garvey handcuffed Parrot, but, when Parrot managed to move his hands from behind his body to the front, Garvey is accused of putting the barrel of his gun against Parrot’s helmet and saying, “give me a reason.”

A spokesperson for the DNR says Garvey has been relieved of his duties.
