De Pere Police are wrapping up their investigation into the incident, which appears to be the city's first-ever homicide with multiple victims. Beiderwieden said an exact motive could not be determined.
Michelle Bay's decision to make her husband leave appeared to be, "the trigger." Denis Bay was 46. Michelle was 44. Their 14-year-old daughter Andrea and 10-year-old son Daniel were also killed.
Officials said Michelle filed for divorce in the fall of 2010. She and the kids left, but the couple got back together last summer to try and work things out. Police also said Denis Bay lost his job last March.
Michelle had chronic back pain and a hoarding habit that filled their house with clutter. The chief said there were quote, "a number of stressors."
Police said they said had great cooperation from relatives and others in their investigation. A family spokesman said relatives would not comment.
