REQUEST FOR BIDS

TRAFFIC SIGNAL MATERIALS

The City of River Falls, Wisconsin is seeking price bids from traffic signal electrical suppliers for furnishing materials and electrical equipment to the City. The City is separately seeking bids for the construction of a new traffic signal system at the intersection of South Main Street and Walnut. The project is being fast-tracked to call for the signal system to be made operational by June 2012. To ensure that the signal system will be able to be made operational in time, the City will be advance purchasing several long lead-time traffic signal items to ensure that these items are available to the electrical contractor for installation at the intersection.

The City of River Falls will receive bids at the City Engineer’s office at City Hall or via e-mail at rwronski@rfcity.org until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday March 1, 2012. Upon receipt of bids for these items, the City will approve one (1) supplier for these items and will issue a purchase order soon thereafter.

Specifications for the signal components may be obtained by e-mailing the City Engineer at rwronski@rfcity.org or from the City of River Falls Engineering Dept., 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, WI 54022.
