A 21-year-old Crystal, Minn., woman allegedly shattered a window and broke into an apartment after claiming to see her girlfriend sleeping in bed with another woman around 4 a.m. Sunday at 308 S. Winter St. River Falls police stopped the woman outside as she tried to leave. She allegedly was brawling with three other female tenants in the apartment. People were calling 911 for help and because of the noisy disturbance.

The woman later told officers that she freaked out at the sight of her girlfriend sleeping with someone else.

She allegedly pounded with her fist on a window until it broke and then got inside the apartment. That’s when fighting erupted.

The Crystal woman had bloody cuts to her face and hands.

She was taken to county jail for battery, disorderly conduct and property damage. Charges are pending with the Pierce County district attorney.

Police also:

--Arrested a 21-year-old Hudson man for disorderly conduct and public urination outside Boomer’s Bar, 106 N. Main St., at 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The man had been kicked out for starting fights. When an officer arrived the man was allegedly urinating on the sidewalk outside the bar.

He was described as very drunk, unsteady and either unable or unwilling to speak. At the police station, an officer reported that the man urinated on himself. The urine streamed down his legs to the carpeting. Asked if he knew what he’d done, the man’s only reply was, “Yep.”

The man was given fines totaling almost $300 and released to the sober care of his mother.

--Arrested a 20-year-old UWRF male student in Parker Hall for drug paraphernalia possession last week Wednesday afternoon. Officers went to the student’s dorm room because of a marijuana smell.

The student allegedly said, no, he wasn’t smoking weed but was, in fact, boiling water to clean the pipes that he normally uses for pot smoking.

After a search, officers claim they recovered from the student’s shoe a one-hitter pipe shaped like a cigarette with pot residue. In his room they allegedly recovered other drug-related items including a purple glass pot pipe and an empty orange pill bottle where the student said he typically stores his marijuana.

The student was booked at the police station and given a $326.50 fine. Because the drug violation happened on the university campus, his case will be heard in Pierce County Circuit Court.
