Former UW-River Falls assistant football coach Newt Greaser will be one of 21 inductees at the 32nd enshrinement into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame Saturday, March 31, at the Marriott West in Madison.

Greaser, a 2011 UWRF Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, was a volunteer assistant football coach for 19 years under former Falcon head coach Mike Farley. Greaser coached Falcon offensive linemen and had dozens of players earn both All-American and All-WIAC honors under his guidance.

Greaser was part of the Falcon coaching staffs that won eight WIAC championships and earned a berth in the NAIA National Playoffs in 1979. He was a main cog in coaching the Falcons when the team led the NCAA Division III in rushing in 1986.

The WFCA Hall of Fame Banquet will be held March 31 at the Marriott West in Middleton and is open to the public. A reception will take place from 4:30-5:30 p.m. with dinner at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 and are available locally by contacting WFCA Hall of Fame member Tom Carroll at (715) 381-1361.
