NOTICE TO BIDDERS

2012 Roof Replacement

At Public Works/Municipal Utility Storage Building

The City of River Falls will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16th, 2012, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Lewis Conference Room of City Hall, located at 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, Wisconsin for REPLACEMENT OF ROOF AND RELATED SHEET METAL AT THE PUBLIC WORKS/MUNICIPAL UTILITY STORAGE BUILDING.

The work includes the following:

REPLACEMENT OF ROOF AND RELATED SHEET METAL AT THE PUBLIC WORKS/MUNICIPAL UTILITY STORAGE BUILDING AT 950 BENSON STREET, RIVER FALLS, WI 54022.

Said work shall be in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by AMBE LTD. Any questions concerning this project shall be directed to Rebecca Seidenkranz, AMBE LTD. 612-850- 2955.

Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents will be available January 11, 2012 at the office of AMBE LTD., 7201 Ohms Lane, Minneapolis, MN 55439. Paper copies of the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained by sending a non- refundable check payable to Ambe Ltd. in the amount of $25.00. All checks shall be sent to the attention of Joanne Willette, Ambe Ltd., 7201 Ohms Lane, Suite #150, Minneapolis, MN 55439 along with the Bidder’s address. Electronic copies of the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained via e-mail at no charge by e-mailing joanne@ambeltd.com. Size of e-mail documents will be approximately 20 MB.

A mandatory prebid meeting will be held on February 9, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Public Works/Municipal Utility Storage Building at 950 Benson St., River Falls, WI. Bids received from Contractors that did not attend the pre-bid meeting will be rejected.

No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of River Falls, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the total amount of the Contract within ten (10) days after the award of said Contract.

All bids shall be in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “2012 Roof Replacement at Public Works/ Municipal Utility Storage Building."

The City of River Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City.
