One has to wonder what the Recall Walker supporters want to accomplish. Here is a list that comes to mind:
--A return to the $3.3 billion projected budget deficit.
--The “theft” of $2.1 billion from 18 funds by the Doyle administration from such areas as the highway and medical malpractice funds.
--Do they want to give up the choice that they have now regarding joining a public union?
--Do they want to return to increasing property taxes with no cap? Property taxes decreased in 2011 for the first time in many years.
--How about owing Minnesota $58 million that was not paid by the previous administration and is now paid in full?
--New teacher hires for the 2011-2012 school year outnumber layoffs and non-renewals by 1,213. Do we want to go back to fewer teachers and a higher teacher student ratio?
We can reasonably come to the conclusion that the only reason for their action is that they don’t want to pay half of their pension costs and 12.6% toward their health care insurance.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, a family plan will now cost a whopping $208.00 a month! How many non-union employees would love to have that deal?
I guess when it is our (taxpayers) money, you can want until the bank is broke like it was before the BUDGET REPAIR BILL.
A successful recall of Governor Walker will be to the peril of Wisconsin’s economy.
