First RF-born baby of the new year arrives
Jack A. Lewis was the first baby born at River Falls Area Hospital in 2012. Jack was born at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3. Proud parents are Sara and Sean Lewis of Hammond. Jack A. Lewis was the first baby born at River Falls Area Hospital in 2012. Jack was born at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3. Proud parents are Sara and Sean Lewis of Hammond. Jack weighed eight pounds, four ounces, and was 21 inches long. The baby received a gift basket of goodies including diapers, toys, a blanket and a gift card from the Volunteers in Partnership with the River Falls Area Hospital.
In 2011 the River Falls Area Hospital welcomed 200 babies into the world. The hospital averaged about four births per week with August being the busiest time in the nursery. The River Falls Area Hospital Birth Center is excited to be adding more labor and birth options including a water birth tub as well as midwifery.
