Last few days for fall clean up

The city's annual fall clean-up will end this Saturday, Nov. 19. River Falls residents only who are billed for garbage service by Veolia can bring items for disposal to the city's Public Works Garage, 950 Benson St. Those persons will be asked to present a form of identification and a copy of a recent invoice from Veolia in order to enter the disposal area.
Remaining days and hours are Thursday and Friday, Nov. 17 and 18, from 4-8 p.m.; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
A list of acceptable and unacceptable items can be found on the city's website www.rfcity.org.
And for those city residents who take the time and make an effort to gather up this fall's collection of leaves and brush, those natural items can be disposed of and recycled city’s brush/compost facility at 901 W. Locust St. However, that site will close at dusk Wednesday, Nov. 30, and not open again until next April. More information about the compost site can also be found on the city's website.
