Local theater veteran Peter Bloch directs the all-musical play that tells a Bible story with colorful, humorous and energetic song and dance. About 85 cast members rehearsed for weeks to coordinate their songs, steps, music, lighting and other technical aspects that blend to make a powerful production.
The play runs about 90 minutes with intermission and includes actors not only from River Falls but also from Baldwin, Hudson, New Richmond and St. Paul. Those involved in the production say in many cases, family and friends volunteer together – sisters, parents and their kids, and other family members bonding over rehearsals and singing lines from the play around the house.
