A care package drive for troops will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Heritage Hall of the University Center on campus each day from Nov. 7-11. Donations sought include non-perishable snacks, athletic equipment such as footballs and Frisbees, books, and magazines.
More than 6,200 American flags, each representing an American life lost in Iraq or Afghanistan since 2001, will be on display outside of the University Center Nov. 7-11.
“The Welcome,” a documentary on life after war will be shown at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the Kinnickinnic Theater in the University Center. A discussion will follow both screenings of the film.
A reading of the names of the more than 6,200 Americans who have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 on the University Center lawn.
A traditional Veterans Day ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 on the west lawn of North Hall.
