CVTC to hold classes for concealed carry license
Chippewa Valley Technical College will be holding classes that meet the training requirements necessary to receive a concealed carry license.
Chippewa Valley Technical College will be holding classes that meet the training requirements necessary to receive a concealed carry license.
All classes, which are $15.19 each, will be held at CVTC’s Emergency Service Education Center located at 3623 Campus Road, Eau Claire. (Go to

Classes will be held on the following days:
Saturday, Nov. 12, 8 a.m.–noon
Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 17, 6 p.m.–10 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 1, 6 p.m.–10 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 3, 8 a.m.–noon
Saturday, Dec. 3, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 8, 6 p.m.–10 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 15, 6 p.m.–10 p.m.
This course will be taught by a certified Department of Justice firearms instructor in compliance with Wisconsin Act 35. This four-hour course will fulfill the training portion of the law. Upon successful completion of this course, a certificate will be issued to the student. This certificate then needs to be submitted to the DOJ for issuance of the actual permit.
The course consists of lecture and a hands-on demonstration. In order to successfully complete this course, the student must pass a written exam and display proficiency in the loading and unloading of a firearm. A student manual and other material will be provided in class.
