Ban lifted after recent rainfall

As of Thursday, Oct. 13, the River Falls Fire Department lifted the burning ban from last week following Wednesday's steady rain that also brought cooler temperatures.
The ban, brought on by drought conditions, applied to the city of River Falls and surrounding towns.
In its update, the Fire Department did add offer this advice:
"As we get into another nice weekend things will start to dry out again, so (we) ask that people continue to use caution when cooking outdoors or having recreational fires.
