Football final: River Falls 51, Eau Claire North 7

Tanner Kusilek ran for 249 yards and three touchdowns and Ryan Kusilek passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as the Wildcats picked up their first Big Rivers Conference win of the season with a 51-7 victory over Eau Claire North Friday night in Eau Claire.

Tanner Kusilek ran for 249 yards and three touchdowns and Ryan Kusilek passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as the Wildcats picked up their first Big Rivers Conference win of the season with a 51-7 victory over Eau Claire North Friday night in Eau Claire.

Tanner Kusilek scored on touchdown runs of 4, 79 and 76 yards while Ryan Kusilek capped the scoring with a 61-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Ryan Kusilek also threw a pair of touchdown passes to Erik Wunrow covering 25 and 23 yards. Kyle Hargrave had a 5-yard touchdown run and the Cats added a safety on a bad snap on a Huskie punt.

After trading touchdowns in the first six minutes, the Wildcats rolled out to a 37-7 halftime lead.

River Falls finished with 521 total yards, 361 on the ground, while holding Eau Claire North to 167 total yards. Seventy of the Huskies yards came on their opening scoring drive. The Cats held North to just 37 yards in the second half.
