Art exhibit features works of Schaffhausen sisters

A display of artwork by Amara, Sophie and Cecilia Schaffhausen is being set up in Gallery 120 (120 N Main St.). The showing will open Friday, Aug. 9.1 / 2
The exhibit of the Schaffhausen girls' art includes sculptures as well as paintings, drawings and other art created by the girls. A portion of the artwork will be sold in a silent auction to support the Tri-Angels Playground planned as a memorial to the girls. 2 / 2

Gallery 120 owner Ila June Brown-Pratt and Custom Framing & Art owner Pat Hammerback have been working this week to set up an art exhibit that will display more than 110 works of art made by Amara, Sophie and Cecilia Schaffhausen. The art includes sketches, pantings, fabric hangings and sculptures. The show's opening is Friday (Aug. 9) from 4-8 p.m.
