WWII veteran receives Liberty Medal and General's Star

 On June 24, WWII veteran, Hubert Neumann was given the Liberty Medal by General Gerald Matteson from the American Legion Post 121 of River Falls, at the Lutheran Home, where Neumann resides. The medal was presented in recognition of Neumann’s participation in the liberation of Paris on Aug. 25, 1944. Matteson also presented Neumann with a General’s Star for his services in Normandy, Battle of the Bulge and the deliverance of Paris from the Germans.
