Wilfred Albert Andrle, age 87, of River Falls, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Kinnic Health & Rehab Center, River Falls.
Wilfred was born in River Falls, on Dec. 1, 1925, to Emil and Anna (Loida) Andrle. He farmed in the Roberts area and was a 40 year employee of the Andersen Windows Corp, retiring in 1988. Wilfred married Leona (Johnson) on Dec. 17, 1946, in Hudson, Wis.
Wilfred lived for deer hunting, fishing, and boating on Balsam Lake. He loved gardening, his flower and vegetable gardens were tended to with great care and usually resulted in a bountiful harvest and great beauty. Wilfred took great care of his home, and his equipment were always kept like they were new. Most of all Wilfred will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, dad, and grandpa, with a deep faith and love of his church.
Wilfred is survived by his loving wife Leona Johnson Andrle, River Falls; six children: Darlene (Thomas) Wieland, Stillwater, Minn., Charlene (Kenneth L.) Olson, St. Paul, Minn., Gerald Andrle, Madison, WI; Katherine (Jim) Gilchrist, Gaithersburg, MD;
Pauline Andrade, Oakdale, Minn., William E. Andrle, River Falls; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother Theodore R. Andrle, River Falls.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son-in-law Ralph Andrade; brother Lawrence Andrle; sisters Marjorie Yanisch, and Clarsy Andrle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, River Falls. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass.
