The third-seeded Wildcat boys’ soccer defeated No. 2 Onalaska, 4-1, Thursday night, Oct. 17, in Onalaska to win a WIAA Division 2 regional championship and advance to the sectional semifinal game Thursday, Oct. 24, at top-seeded New Richmond.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Robbie Waldon scored two goals and Justin Duran and Garth Watson had a goal apiece to lead the Wildcats to the come-from-behind win.

River Falls advanced to the regional championship with a 7-0 victory over sixth-seeded La Crosse Logan Tuesday, Oct.15.

The Cats will take on New Richmond Thursday, Oct. 24, at 3:30 p.m. in New Richmond. The winner will face either Marshfield or Pulaski Saturday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. in Marshfield for a berth in the WIAA State Soccer Tournament Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Milwaukee.
