Wildcats host Extreme Cross Country meet

Junior Annie Frisbie won the girls’ race and senior Trent Powell took first in the boys’ race as the Wildcats swept the top two spots at the annual River Falls Extreme Cross Country Invite Thursday on the campus of UW-River Falls.

Fourteen girls’ teams and 13 boys’ teams took part in the meet, which included a run through the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River.

Powell led the Wildcat boys to a second place team finish while Frisbie and the Wildcat girls finished third in the team standings.

Rochester Mayo won the boys’ team title while Franklin took first in the girls’ competition.
