Wildcats blank Panthers
Levi Johnson scored two touchdowns and Marty Herum threw three touchdown passes as the Wildcat football team rolled to a 46-0 win over Ellsworth Friday night at Ramer Field.
Johnson capped a 60-yard scoring drive on the Wildcats opening possession with a 17-yard touchdown run and Herum hit Zach Pavlichek for an 81-yard scoring play on the next possession to give the Cats a 14-0 lead less than six minutes into the game.
Herum opened the third quarter by finding Sean Gilbert down the right sideline for a 58-yard touchdown. Following an interception by Lance Westberg the Cats the ball at the Ellsworth 11, Herum hit tight end Eric Gilbertson in the right flat and Gilbertson dove and got the ball just inside the pylon to make the score 28-0.
Johnson's second touchdown of the game came on a six-yard run with 29 seconds left in the first half to push the score to 34-0.
Zach Bennett added a five-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Mitch Webb bulled over from 2-yards out with just over a minute remaining to make the final 46-0.
