Kuehni sentenced to probation, jail time in fatal shooting case

West Bend favorite in summer HS baseball tourney

West Bend West is the favorite, as the state high school summer baseball tournament opens today (Tuesday) in Stevens Point.

The Spartans are the defending champions. They have a 22-game winning streak and at 28-1, they have the best record by far among the eight teams in the tournament.

Quarter-finals will be played today in one division.

West Bend West will play the first game against Kettle Moraine at 10:05 a.m. Brown Deer will then take on Menomonee Falls. New Holstein plays Milwaukee Marquette and West Salem wraps up the day against Oak Creek.

The semi-finals and finals will be played Wednesday.
