  • Lenie’s Challenge baseball tournament: Starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Fighting Fish playing at 8:30 p.m. at First National Bank of River Falls Field.
  • Book Signing by Jacqueline West: At Fox Den Used Books, 120 S. Main St., 6:30 p.m. Meet the author of “The books of Elsewhere” – she will read and sign copies.
  • Music in the Park: Free concert at 7 p.m. in Veterans Park. Amy and Adams will perform folk favorites
  • Falls Theatre: How to Train a Dragon 2 at 7 and 9:30 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.
  • Library lower level: Summer Science: We Believe Science Can Be Fun! How things work, why things happen, hands-on experiments, fun facts …and really lame science jokes through July 12 in the River Falls Public Library lower level.
  • Saturday:

    • Garage sale giveaway: First Baptist Church, 814 S. Wasson Lane, will host a giveaway garage sale for the community from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All items will be given for free. A free lunch will be provided.
    • Lenie’s Challenge baseball tournament: Starts at 10 a.m. with games scheduled at First National Bank of River Falls Field.
    • Falls Theatre: How to Train a Dragon 2 at 2, 7 and 9:30 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.
    • Music in the Park: At 7 p.m. in Veterans Park. Denny Cooper, the Doc of Rock and helper Steve Heath.
    • Library lower level: Summer Science: We Believe Science Can Be Fun! How things work, why things happen, hands-on experiments, fun facts …and really lame science jokes through July 12 in the River Falls Public Library lower level.

    • Cheese Curd Festival: Ellsworth East End Park, fun and food-filled weekend. Cheese curd eating contest, grande parade, music, bingo, live auction, pedal tractor pull, craft vendors and more. Please no pets or carry-on food or beverages.

    Saturday: 

    • Have-A-Heart car show: Have-A-Heart, Inc., will hold its fourth annual car show and bike poker run. The car show will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Gas-Lite on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. The bike poker run will begin at the No Name Bar in Prescott with registration at 9 a.m. and the run at 10 a.m. The ride ends at the Gas-Lite for a fundraiser, which includes a pig roast, raffle, door prizes and an autographed fiddle from Charlie Daniels.
    • Family Science Saturday: The Prescott Public Library will host its first Family Science Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. There will be “Brush Bots” for kids ages 7-14. Free, but need a reservation. Call Becky at 715-262-5555 with questions.
    •  Horse Show: Hay Creek Saddle Club will hold its horse show on the Pierce County Fairgrounds.
